📖 How to Use This Tool

Mode 1: Blank Template (Most Popular)

Use this before a match. Fill in basic details (teams, date, overs format), optionally add player names, and generate a blank A4 score sheet. Print it and bring to the ground — the official scorer fills it by hand during the match.

📋 Perfect for:
School/college matches, club cricket, gully tournaments, corporate cricket leagues, friendly matches. Anywhere a manual scorer is keeping track on paper.

Mode 2: Filled Scorecard (Post-Match)

Use this after a completed match when you have all the statistics. Enter every batter's runs/balls/dismissal, every bowler's analysis, fall of wickets, and extras. The tool generates a polished final scorecard PDF — ideal for tournament records, club newsletters, or sharing on WhatsApp.

📊 Perfect for:
Tournament organizers archiving match records, club secretaries preparing season reports, team managers documenting player stats, anyone wanting a professional digital scorecard.

✍️ Cricket Scoring Symbols & Notation

When filling a score sheet by hand, scorers use a standard shorthand. Here's what each symbol means so anyone can keep score correctly:

SymbolMeaning
(dot)No run scored off the ball
1, 2, 3, 4, 6Runs scored off the bat
WWicket (batsman out)
Wd or +Wide ball (1 extra run, ball re-bowled)
Nb or No-ball (1 extra run, free hit, ball re-bowled)
BBye (runs without bat or body contact)
LbLeg bye (runs off the body, not the bat)
MMaiden over (no runs conceded by the bowler)

A quick tip: each over has six legal balls. Wides and no-balls are re-bowled, so an over with extras takes more than six deliveries to complete. The blank sheet from this tool leaves room to record every ball.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Is the score sheet A4 size?

Yes. Every PDF is generated in standard A4 portrait size, so it prints cleanly on any normal printer without resizing.

Can I download a blank cricket score sheet for free?

Yes. Choose the Blank Template mode, enter the basic match details (or leave them empty), and generate a free printable blank A4 score sheet to fill by hand during the match.

Is there a T10 or T20 score sheet?

Yes. Set the overs to 10 for a T10 sheet, 20 for T20, or 50 for ODI — any value from 5 to 50 overs works, so it covers every short and full format.

Is my match data saved anywhere?

No. The PDF is generated entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. Nothing is sent to any server. Once you close the tab, your data is gone (unless you saved the PDF).

Can I edit the PDF after generating?

Not directly — the output is a standard PDF. If you need to edit, generate again with corrected data. For PDF editing, use tools like Adobe Acrobat or PDFescape.

Why are some bowler/batsman rows blank in the filled mode?

You don't need to fill every row. Empty rows are simply omitted from the final PDF. Enter only the batsmen who actually batted and bowlers who actually bowled.

What if extra players (12th man, etc.) need to be shown?

The tool supports up to 11 batters and 11 bowlers per team. For tournament-specific 12th man or impact player rules, you may need to manually note these separately.

Can I customize the team colors/logo?

Not currently — the PDF uses KaamKaTool's standard styling (saffron/navy theme). For fully custom team branding, you'd need a dedicated scoring app like CricHeroes.

Does this work on mobile?

Yes. The tool is fully mobile-responsive. The generated PDF will be the same on phone or desktop. Just be patient with typing 22 players on a mobile keyboard!
