📋 What is Ideal Weight?

Ideal weight is the weight at which a person is considered healthy based on their height, age, gender, and body frame. There's no single "perfect" weight — different formulas give slightly different ranges.

📐 The 5 Formulas Explained

1. Hamwi Formula (1964): Most commonly used. Men: 48 kg + 2.7 kg per inch over 5 ft. Women: 45.5 kg + 2.2 kg per inch.

2. Devine Formula (1974): Originally for medication dosing. Men: 50 kg + 2.3 kg per inch over 5 ft. Women: 45.5 kg + 2.3 kg per inch.

3. Robinson Formula (1983): Refined version for adults. Men: 52 kg + 1.9 kg per inch. Women: 49 kg + 1.7 kg per inch.

4. Miller Formula (1983): More conservative. Men: 56.2 kg + 1.41 kg per inch. Women: 53.1 kg + 1.36 kg per inch.

5. BMI-Based: Range using healthy BMI (18.5-22.9 for Indians).

Body frame matters: People with larger frames naturally weigh more
