🏫 School Time Table Maker

Enter classes, subjects and teacher loads — get clash-free class-wise and teacher-wise timetables with period timings, as a printable A4 PDF.

Runs fully in your browser — your school's data never leaves this device.

How the timetable is generated

You give it the raw allocations — which teacher takes which subject in which class, and for how many periods a week — and the generator does the scheduling the way an experienced timetable-in-charge would: it places the most heavily loaded teachers first (they have the least room to manoeuvre), spreads each subject across the week instead of bunching it, balances how full each day gets, and above all never puts a teacher in two classrooms in the same period. After the grid is built, an independent verifier re-checks every cell for clashes — the timetable you print is mathematically clash-free.

Honesty is built in: if your loads simply cannot fit — a teacher given 45 periods in a 40-period week, a class allotted more periods than the week holds — the tool refuses to fake it. A capacity check warns you before generation, and if a handful of lessons still cannot be placed, it lists exactly which ones, so you adjust loads with facts instead of discovering clashes on Monday morning.

Writing the allocation lines

One line per class-subject: Class | Subject | Teacher | Periods per week. A shared teacher appears on multiple lines and the generator coordinates them. A typical class carries 38–42 periods in a 5-day, 8-period week — the sample already loaded in the box shows the pattern; edit it with your own names.

What the PDF contains

First a grid for every class — days across the top, periods with timings down the side, subject and teacher in every cell — sized for a classroom door. Then a grid for every teacher showing where they are each period, the sheet every staff room pins beside the notice board. Both print cleanly in black and white on A4. Period timings are computed from your start time, period length and lunch break, so the wall copy matches the bell.

Is this school time table maker free?

Yes — generate, preview and download unlimited timetable PDFs free, with no signup. Everything runs in your browser; your school's data never leaves your device.

How does it guarantee no teacher clashes?

The generator places every lesson so that a teacher is never in two classes in the same period — and after generation, an independent verifier re-checks the whole grid. If your teacher loads are impossible to fit, it tells you exactly which periods could not be placed instead of silently double-booking.

How do I enter the subject allocations?

One line per allocation in the format: Class | Subject | Teacher | Periods per week. For example: 6A | Maths | Mrs. Sharma | 7. Repeat the same teacher across classes freely — the generator handles the sharing.

What if a teacher is overloaded?

Before generating, the tool checks capacity: if a teacher's total periods exceed the week's slots, or a class is allotted more periods than the week holds, you get a clear warning naming the class or teacher, so you can fix loads instead of guessing.

Can I print class-wise and teacher-wise timetables?

Yes — the PDF contains a grid for every class and then a grid for every teacher, each showing days across and periods down with times, ready for the staff-room wall and classroom doors.

Can I regenerate for a different arrangement?

Every Generate click explores fresh arrangements and keeps the best one found. If the layout doesn't suit you, generate again — different seed, same clash-free guarantee.
